Beautiful and amazing game, but I dont know whether this is what it should be or other problems, the sound is so quiet on my device.

Great Game Overall, no crashes or glitches just a little tip make more check points, because if you almost finish the level and you fall off you have to go all the way back to the start which gets people aggravated such as me. Just 1 tip this game is excellent other than the tip.

This remarkable remake of the old Genesis version has taken a simple idea and modernized it with 3D graphics. At first, it looks like a nice 2D side scrolling game, but when you arrive at the castle, you quickly discover that you are really playing in a 3D environment. The controls use the touch screen interface. It works surprisingly well and is pretty accurate. Because this game is 3D, it is very easy to move your finger the wrong way. My tip is to always be aware of your control. Know which way you are attempting to move. Try not to get frustrated when the pace picks up. One advantage of being a new player is to allow myself the opportunity to "learn" the layout of the land. Its the learning part that many will find frustrating. Patience, Practice and Persistence (the 3 Ps) will empower you to Prevail. This game has many challenges. First, play every level and rescue Minnie. Second, collect all of the special items hidden in the various levels. This is more like a scavenger hunt and can be done at any time (even after beating the game). Third, collect every diamond if you want (at least try to do it once). Fourth, try to replay a level, not concerned with collecting anything - rather, just speed run and see how fast you can find the exit. As you collect more items, you unlock portraits in the castle as well as statues! While this glowing review merits 5 stars, sadly it does not. Castle of Illusion is a great game with awesome graphics, but has just one flaw... No background music plays whatsoever! From my understanding, the background music used to work before Apple released iOS 9. Without the background music, the atmosphere of this game does not exist. It is very painful to play a game where a major part is broken. Thus this game only deserves 4 stars. Please fix the audio and I will update my review and rating. Thanks!

Console level fun. Great gameplay! Would be awesome to have this on Apple TV!!!

Garbage

This is a great port, but it desperately needs to be updated for compatibility with the Steel Series Nimbus mfi controller. There seems to be a common issue with Disney releases for their lack of support on games without iaps. If you dont mind the digital analog sticks, then this is a great purchase! Duck tales has mfi support, but this is still lacking the update. If added, definitely changing to 5⭐️s.

So... This might just be on my iPad, but I have no audio! If anyone knows how to fix this, please let me know. But other than that. Great game!

Great Game!!!! One thing though. This game is very challenging . After 1 week, still on level one.

I like how this game is so realistic and fun! Its like youre the one going on an adventure! And the ending is really hard! ? I love this game, and I think every person should play it! ???

Please update this game to support controllers please it would play a lot better that way Im no much into mobile games because of this touch screen button stuff you need to feel the buttons to play a platformer the right way now a card game or heyday or candy crush those games would be fine with a touch screen not platformers they need a controller to play with no issues good game though good remake

My sister has this game on her kindle and I love it. It is amazing. Some people bought it for ten dollars. But I bought it for five. I wonder why the difference. Good game though.

I love this app sooo much! So,you know how you just keep on chewing lettuce and it never ends? Well, imagine the lettuce is the adventures,how long it is is how awesome the game is so yeah. By the way,as you can see,this app cost money. Dont buy it at this price cuz it sometimes goes on sale for $0.99 and its just as good at that price than any other so yeah. I tried to make the lettuce part make sense and I bet you it didnt but it does to me! Now, Im gonna actually play the game!PLZ GET IT! ITS SOOO AWESOME! Just like me!

Its worth it

It would be t least if I pay for this game at least Apple you need to download it so people can play since it was paid for! If this keeps up I will never buy another game , GET IT TOGETHER APPLE

Beautiful game and animation, fun to play on my PC. I had the original for my sega genesis over 20 years ago. After playing other iOS games with a controller I cant come back to this game and play it with on screen controls. About every game out there now has controller support which gives these mobile games a very console like experience. This game is sorely in need of controller support for at least MFI controllers. If the support is there the game would be very easily 5 stars.

My son loves this game only problem is its hard for him to maneuver on the pad! I end up playing and he watches ? Id give it 5 stars if it was compatible with a game controller like lots of newer games

Ive had this app ever since it was released back in 2013. The game is fantastic, and captures the feel of the original Genesis game flawlessly. However, the app is currently free on certain devices. And I me and many others have the game lacking music and a few sound effects that were originally in this app. Music only plays during the brief 5-10 second loading screens. I know the game hasnt been updated since its release. But I really wanna hear the music composed by "Grante Kirkhope" again. ?
